The Clarkesville Campus Library of North Georgia Tech
is located on the upper level of the Carlton Center. A well-rounded
collection of information resources is available in a variety
of formats. Materials are provided to support the educational
opportunities of NGTC as well as the general interests of
the students, staff and community. Areas for study, leisure
reading, use of audio-visual materials and computer use are
provided. Internet access is available on desktop units and
via wireless technology.
Information resources are presented in print materials such
as books and magazines, in electronic format such as e-books
and online databases and in audiovisual forms such as videocassettes
and DVDs.
All of the library computers are connected to a black-and-white
printer. Students may print up to ten pages per day at no
cost. After the first ten pages, prints are five cents per
page. A coin-operated copier is available for personal copying;
the cost is ten cents per copy. Color prints may be requested
for $.50 per page. Two scanners are provided for student use.
Documents and photos related to the history of the school
and its predecessors are displayed. This includes the Georgia
9th District Agricultural and Mechanical School (1912-1933)
and Habersham College (1938-1943).
